Equinox Gathering - breathwork & sound journey
@themountwithout, St Michaels Hill, Bristol, BS2 8FN
Sept 17th 2023 - 18.00 doors, for a 18.15 start - 21.00, closing by 22.00
I am super excited to be collaborating with sound practitioner, electronic music producer & singer, Michelle Cade at the stunning Mount Without venue in Bristol this September. We will be exploring the earth’s new energy phase that the autumn equinox brings in through a deep conscious connected breathwork journey whilst being held beautifully by a unique live ambient sound scape.
The autumn equinox, or Mabon or Alban Elued as it is known, is a quarter point in the Celtic festival calendar, called the Wheel of the Year. As the sun enters Libra, it is known as West Water, where we have equal day and night. To celebrate the earth’s yearly cycle is to take part in ancient tradition. It is an opportunity to re-learn what we have long forgotten and to re-find connections long buried and suppressed.
This evening is where we honour our ancient traditions by gathering together and celebrating this time, by being a bridge between the ancient and the new, may it remind us we are all part of the natural world, part of something sacred, part of a whole.
This is also a time for balancing and reconciling opposites. Here at the Autumn Equinox we celebrate the whole of ourselves, the masculine and feminine aspects, your shadow and light, your conscious and unconscious and all aspects of the cycle of life.
This is the beginning of root energy, bringing rest and renewal. It is a chance for all life to go within and re-enter the dark womb of the spiritual world. In this three hour guided journey you will have an opportunity to listen deeply to yourself, reflect upon your year so far, and to begin to acknowledge the change in the earth’s energy. We will spend time in a place of enquiry and silent journalling before entering the breathwork journey and sound meditation.
The breathwork we will practise is conscious connected breathwork, it is a circular breath, which can be deep and profound, and can induce transformative states of consciousness. It is an embodied practise. This combined with a live sound meditation will really allow your body and breath to guide you through the perfect experience for you.
Please come with an open mind and open heart, and we shall share this experience together.
If you would like to stay afterwards and connect with others at the end, you are more than welcome and the space will be open until 22.00.
We really look forward to welcoming you all into this incredible space:

What is a Sound Meditation?
A sonic journey combining binaural beats and ambient soundscapes using specific frequencies such The Schumann Resonance (Resonant frequency of Earths atmosphere) and a variety of instruments including Tibetan & crystal singing bowls, gong, tuning forks, a monochord, steel tongue drum and voice.
These sessions can help you to reset your nervous system, release emotional blocks and tap into your inner resources while harmonising and balancing your body and mind.
An opportunity for self enquiry where altered states of awareness can inspire insights and resolutions as well as uncover long held limiting beliefs.
